Quality Hotel™ Grand, Kristiansund

Best place to stay in lovely Kristiansund. You meet very nice people in the reception 24h/7d a week. Very good breakfast give you a good start on a cousy town. Short distance to best restaurants, no. 1 of them Sjøstjerna - 2 minutes to walk. Second best is Smia and it's located 10 minutes walk from the hotel. Have a nice stay - business or pleasure - best in town anyway.

Overall no issues with the hotel. Room was clean, big, didn't have tea / coffee facilities, which would have been a nice have. Staff helpful, restaurant was good, meal was good. Location for town, central. Stay again, yes...

Took a public bus from the airport to Kongens Plass. A couple of hundred meters away was this venerable hotel. Because you can see that it has been here for a while. Centrally located in the center of Kristiansund. Got a nice welcome at the front desk. As a member of the customer club, I was upgraded a room category, and all my benefits were recognized. Went up to the room which was large and overlooking a street and some nice public buildings. The room had everything one would need. A comfortable double bed, a desk, a couple of chairs and a table, TV with what you need of channels and a bathroom. There are Choice hotels that are more refurbished than this (especially the hallway to the room can seem a bit like a hospital corridor) but it is nice and clean and has good charm. There may be more sound penetration in this hotel than other hotels. Not annoying to me, but you can hear the next room and the hallway. Breakfast has what you need. It is slightly more reduced than several other Choice hotels I have stayed at. But it is clean, well laid out and you do not lack anything. So it's a good start to the day in every way. At check out I found out that the restaurant coupon I received was not valid. I had to use it the day before even though I put the food in the restaurant in the room. There is nothing wrong with the hotel here, but the different hotels do this differently. And then it's confusing as a customer when to use what. So that discount I missed. Apart from that check out was good. Definitely a hotel I would happily return to again.

The room on the 4th floor had a balcony with a good view to the harbor. Large double room with separate office space. Perfect with chaise longue in the room that could be angled to the TV. Excellent service, good follow-up of rules around covid-19 made our stay safe. Access to coffee / tea and for the little softies and popcorn. In the hotel building there is also a restaurant and bar.

Pretty good and comfortable hotel, scandinavian style interior. Friendly staff and comfortable rooms, OK for the price. Special thanks for the breakfast, not meaning there was anything special (which I don't even care personally) but the food in the breakfast buffet tasted exceptionally nice !
