Come and explore the Clarion Hotel® Oslo, our new art hotel in the Norwegian capital!
Starting this summer, 2019, you will be able to check in at Clarion Hotel® Oslo, which is opening in the Norwegian capital's newest district, Bjørvika. This is the perfect hotel for anyone who enjoys being surrounded by art and culture. The hotel's neighbours are the Opera House and the Munch Museum, and in the lobby there will be an original work by Munch.
The city's new gallery
Yep, you read it rightly. Clarion Hotel Oslo is opening its doors with a bang, so to speak, and it will be the first hotel with a genuine, actual, original artwork signed by Edvard Munch in the lobby. This is a consequence of the fact that Clarion Hotel Oslo and Clarion Hotel® The Hub are two of the new Munch Museum's main sponsors.
And the art experience doesn't stop there! The hotel will have a permanent art exhibition, in addition to the temporary exhibitions that will be on display and events that will be arranged – all in cooperation with cultural institutions in Oslo.
The lobby at Clarion Hotel Oslo. You can look forward to world-class design!
If you come by train or bus to Oslo Central Station, you are just a short stroll away from a night's soft slumber. After hauling your suitcase just 500 metres you will be standing in Bjørvika, right by the “barcode quarter” Barcode. The hotel's neighbours are the Opera House, the new Munch Museum, which is opening in 2020, and the Oslo Fjord.
This is what a standard double room will look like.
255 room, suites and modern conference facilities
Business, pleasure or an extra special occasion? The hotel has 255 rooms, gorgeous suites and capacity for 1200 conference participants spread over 1500 square metres. Bring your sweatband with you too, because there is also a well-equipped fitness room.
Kitchen & Table by Marcus Samuelsson, two bars and outdoor seating
At Kitchen & Table you will be met by a cultural and culinary experience where the flavours are inspired by the diversity of Manhattan in combination with Nordic cooking techniques.
On the ground floor you will find Kitchen & Table – a restaurant concept by Swedish star chef Marcus Samuelsson, where the dishes served are a combination of Manhattan flavours and local delicacies. The hotel will also have the Living Room, a place where you can sit and work your way through this season’s bestseller novel or just hang out with your friends, whether you are a guest of the hotel or not.
Need something to drink? Welcome to Shutter Bar.
Shutter Bar should be your first port of call when you want a drink. During the summer months, you can apply sunscreen, put your sunglasses on, sit on the outdoor terrace and enjoy the sun’s rays reflected from the roof of the Opera House.
