It's funny that the railroad is under the hotel. Did not hear any train passing. Had a very good sleep. Everything worked fine, but can have an update.

The hotel is in dire need of renovation and upgrading. I reported a training machine as broken during an earlier visit and when I came back a month later the machine is still broken. Electrical wall sockets in the hallway hang loose, the pool water is murky with scrap at the bottom of the pool. Usually have to wait at the front desk for help. During m last visit I waited almost 10 minutes for someone to show up- other guest waiting also. The positive side is that they are willing to listen and help. The hotel is perfectly located in central Hudiksvall.

The hotel accepts pets and this is why I chose it. The room was fresh . The only problem is the front doors of the rooms are so old , I mean that is not a renewed hotel, at least not totally. The breakfast was a total disappointment. I had almost nothing to choose. I mean it was so poor. Anyway if needed I will come back! Please improve your hotel.

My wife and I took a short mid-autumn tour to Hudiksvall, prompted by the pending expiry of bonus points with the hotel chain, as well as the relatively short journey, just about 2 hours by train (in itself recommendable!) from where we live. We were happily surprised to find a rather small Swedish town with a lot of commercial and other life in its pretty centre, mostly well preserved from some 100-150 years ago. And we were satisfied with the hotel as well, including our modest but clean and quiet room, and certainly not least the unexpectedly full breakfast, BUT ONLY UNTIL we returned from a short morning walk to pick up our bags which we had left in a locked baggage room next to the reception to catch our train back home. The reception was totally un-manned and no other hotel staff could be seen or found anywhere!! Irritation soon grew to nervousness and then into emerging horror as minute after minute passed, thus putting us catching the train in severe jeopardy. Finally, AFTER MORE THAN HALF AN HOUR, the receptionist appeared, explaining the he had had to take care of a water leak somewhere in the hotel. We rushed to the train station and just made it!!! Actually we do not blame the receptionist, rather the hotel's management for their unacceptable failure to provide for any backup in case of water leaks or other emergencies. SHAME ON SUCH INCOMPETENT MANAGEMENT! Sad, as we otherwise liked the hotel and the town.
