The property was under renovation and a temporary entrance and reception were set up. The room although a Superior Double was very ordinary and past its prime. Good size room with coffee machine, iron and ironing board, safe and mini bar. The bathroom is basic, no bath mat, sink cracked, no extraction fan and pathetic dim lighting. Corridor with stained carpet and used as storage for linen trolleys. The highlight of our stay was the breakfast buffet with great variety and high quality products. The employees at front desk were pleasant and efficient. The property is well located in the embassy district and you can easily walk to the Royal Palace or to the Port area in about 15 minutes.

Well this hotel is a mixed bag: Pro's: Breakfast buffet is fantastic. Light super buffet is good. Nuetral: Location is not too far to walk everywhere Negatives: No air conditioning, only provided a tiny fan. Double room tiny. No soap dispenser in shower. Did not make up our room on Day 2 as promisied.

We are undergoing a renovation and when the renovation is finished we will have better ventilation system with cooling for these hot summer days. This is a old hotel and some of our double rooms are on the smaller side unfortunately. This was our second time staying at this wonderful hotel. This time it was undergoing some renovation, so the front was closed off. However, the quality remained the same and we were very pleased with our stay. Besides a perfect location and the charming atmosphere, the delicious breakfast AND dinner that are included are a real plus. It was a perfect way for us to experience Oslo in a relaxed and satisfying manner.

The house has a nice facade and beautiful furniture, the rooms looks confortable, but our experience was not the best because the air conditioning not only was malfunctioning but the room temperature was like a sauna. We proceed to inform this situation to the receptionist, and the response was “the air conditioning is fixed but if you continue experiencing problems with the temperature, just open the window” The sheets never being replaced for three days. And the room never being cleaned. According with the receptionist, we should asked in advance in order to have this service.

We do not have air conditioning in our rooms and when we now are refurbishing the hotel with start this month, we are going to install a new ventilation system that will make sure the hotel is much cooler on the hot summer days, when finished. We inform at check in and in the room that you must let us know if you want stay cleaning, you can do this at any point before 10 Pm a day in advance for your stay.
