We had a lovely one night staycation. The hotel is located close to all really good restaurants and they have a nice summer terrace in the yard if you don’t want to leave the premises. The breakfast was super fresh and you could order special coffees from the baristas 😊 all in all a 10/10 stay.

The hotel was well known for us as we stayed there 2 years ago and it still met our expectations as one of the best hotels we stayed so far. Clean, polite, smart with perfect location and welcome service and tasty breakfast. Despite to previous stay we stayed at comfort room and the room was perfect, big enough and convenient even for 3 adults. Would highlight daily vitamin shots, honey drink, perfect espresso and hot meal together with some traditional finish delicious food during the breakfast together with good atmosphere even though the hotel was nearly fully booked. So, I would recommend the hotel both for leisure and business travelers as it meets all the expectations.

I booked my stay on American Express travel site. The property is listed as as "The Hotel Collection" which offers benefits, such as, free room upgrade and a $100 credit for certain purchases including food & beverage. Upon check in, while the room upgrade benefit was available, the employee told me the $100 credit converter to €88. Earlier that day, I had made several purchases on my Amex card. Those purchases appeared on their mobile app to $100 to approximately €95. When I contacted Amex's Twitter team, they referred me to an currency conversion site which converted $100 to appropriately €94.7 for that date. If international hotels can choose their own exchange rate, bad operators could reduce the $100 hotel credit to an unusable amount. For instance, the daily breakfast is €25. If I had stayed four nights and ate breakfast daily, my out-of-pocket cost could have been €12 rather than the expected €5. The upgraded room itself seemed okay; two twin beds were merged into one. Although the shower area was separated with a partial divider; the water can drain to the bottom of the sink. The shower consists of a fixed shower head and a handheld one. There is also a handheld bidet by the toilet. For toiletries, individual bottles for conditioner and body lotion were provided and replaced daily, if used. Containers hung on the wall for shampoo and shower gel. A large supermarket was located across the street which allowed me to purchase water for the remainder of my stay. Although the lift is on a raised floor; there is a ramp so I did not have to carry my suitcases up the steps. Even though the room is on the third floor; the hotel does not have a second floor. Except for the two times I had my suitcases, I never once needed to use lift. It would have taken longer to wait for it than to climb up one floor. On my final night, the hotel emailed the prospective bill. Because the stay was prepaid, I was surprised to see a charge for one night. Since I had international data roaming, I verified the prepayment on my credit card weeks prior. When I returned to the hotel after dinner, I verified the incorrect charge was still on the bill. I asked about the irregular charge. The employee stated their system had incorrectly categorized one of the nights as postpay rather than prepay. She said it would have been corrected, but I informed her that I had expected the hotel to have made the correction without my intervention. Of the three nights, my schedule only allowed me to have their breakfast once. What I enjoyed most about the breakfast was my first opportunity to try egg butter.

We have been here 3 nights and have one night left. The hotel is nice and clean and the staff seem pleasant. However our room has continuously been between 24 and 25 degrees Celsius (75-77+ degrees Fahrenheit). We have asked to have someone look at the temperature control. They advised us that it is working fine. We were instructed how to cool the room down. We followed the instructions exactly as advised but the room is still quite warm. This has made it difficult to sleep. We have also kept all of the drapes closed all the time in hopes that the room would be cooler, but it really hasn’t helped with the temperature and makes us feel like we’re in a cave. The first night, someone came up and helped us open the windows. That resulted in the heat coming on stronger and being woken up by loud sounds from 3:30am on such as birds, rolling garbage dumpsters, cars, etc. This is a nice hotel, but if you do not like having a hot room, you might want to choose another options.

Nothing negative I can say about my stay. The hotel itself is clean, efficient and well cared for. Great central location in Helsinki within walking distance of many things. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was quite good and a great selection. Easy access to taxis through the front desk.
