For the 9th year in a row, Strawberry has been named Norway's best hotel chain! And not only that – we also won the best hotel chain in the Nordic region to boot – for the third year in a row! A proud Petter A. Stordalen received the awards during the prestigious Grand Travel Awards in Oslo.

During the Grand Travel Award in Oslo on January 24, 2019, Strawberry won the prestigious award "Norway's best hotel chain" for the 9th year in a row! And not only that, we also went home with the prize "The best hotel chain in the Nordic region" for the third year in a row! In addition, Petter A. Stordalen, the founder of Strawberry, was awarded this year's prestigious award.
These awards are dedicated to the 16,500 employees of the company who manage to meet their guests’ expectations every single day. It is because of them that I, on behalf of everyone, am honoured to receive these prizes. We will not only have the best hotels to visit, we will also have the best hotels to work at. A huge thank you therefore goes to each and every one of the superheroes at our hotels”, says Petter A. Stordalen.
The Norwegian tourism industry’s answer to the Oscars
Every year, the Norwegian tourism industry’s answer to the Oscars is held. The highly-valued prizes are given to companies and their operators that are voted for by travel agencies and other companies.
