Best location, superb decor and fantastic staff. Great restaurant and bars, full of live. I will come back when in Oslo

The location is awesome, close to Opera, Munch museet, central station and the shopping area. The building is beautiful, outside and inside ... and the staff is great. Even the rooms facing the busy place are quiet.

Just enjoyed 5 days in Oslo staying here. The hotel is excellently located for easy access to everything. Clean, tidy and very well maintained. Breakfast choice was absolutely amazing. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a superior room, size quite typical of city hotels. Lovely view over the square, with plenty of people watching opportunities. Trams, buses and trains pass by but the sound proofing in the rooms is so good this does not disturb you at all. Highly recommend staying here.

A wonderful experience in Oslo. We arrived jet-lagged and exhausted to this unique & charming hotel. The women at the front desk were extremely helpful in finding a different room for us when our original suite had too much light (which can be an issue for sensitive sleepers in Norway's brighter months). They were also very informative, especially when we tried to book a fjord spa. The rooms are stylish, comfortable and quiet. I highly recommend the Fortuna suite, with its soaking tub, spacious accommodations, and divine-smelling products. The breakfast spread is extensive and delicious. And the Old Cuban cocktail at the bar is the best Old Cuban I've ever had. It's true, the vibe is unfussy (no doormen, etc) but, again, the staff is attentive. The hotel is very well-located, within 15 to 20 minutes of most sites. (Generally, Oslo is a very walkable city.) Its right across the street from the train station, which is useful for those of us traveling on through Norway. I will be sad to leave and would definitely stay here again if I returned to Oslo.

Very poor service. Limited and unprofessional staff. No doorman or bellboy service. No one answers the phone ever and it’s outsourced to an outside service. Front door broken so couldn’t use a cart to take luggage in. Staff cold and unfriendly. Our suite was over $600 per night and still small. Told us it was ready and it was not - still had to wait an hour. The restaurant was not fresh and incredibly slow. Only good thing was a central location and a good barman. Would avoid. Try the Sommerro instead.
