Served its purpose

The hotel was rather Spartan, with single beds (too narrow for me), and certainly showing some of its age (and no longer offered the feather pillows I was looking forward to). I had stayed there years before and it really had not changed much - options are rather limited for hotels in this city. Breakfast was quite good and plentiful and front desk service very pleasant and helpful.

this hotel is ok, for the price it offers in this region, it is ok. but it is missing many things, such as the phone. so if you need any kind of help, you would have to go downstairs to the reception the rooms are old fashioned and old looking, showers/bathrooms look like some cheap spanish hotel bathroom, the great thing with this hotel though, is the breakfast, it is really nice.

We had some difficulty finding the hotel having arrived in the middle of town - it is on the outskirts, and had trouble getting reception to answer when we rang for directions. We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel, given some of the reviews. A fairly modern hotel of several floors with lift. The rooms were fine for a short stay, clean and with reasonable furnishings, including en suite bathroom and hair dryer. It was a pity that there was no fridge, which there obviously had been given the tea and coffee cupboard. There was a flat screen TV, but no English language channels despite saying this. The free in room wi fi worked well. We did not have to pay for towels, etc, as an earlier reviewer wrote. We were on the top floor and overlooked a service area, which included the rubbish skips and discarded hotel furnishings, but it was fairly quiet of road noise. The bedroom was hot, as was the weather, and it was a pity that there was no a/c in the room. We did not have dinner there, but were impressed by the diversity and quality of the included buffet breakfast. There were several varied groups having breakfast but it was a large and varied dining area and did not feel crowded. The high atrium part was light and pleasantly cool (a/c?).

The website promises grand new Buildings and rooms - but most rooms are from 1980s, bit smelly and need a full refurbishment (or needed 10 years ago). Very dissapointed when I had paid for a superior single room to get a crappy old room that is about as superior as a wet dog. It gets worse with the fact that builders are knocking and drilling constantly on the wall next door to my room. Not happy! Do not recommend and will never stay here again!

I stayed here for 1 night with my wife and our 2 kids in july 2012. The first impression we got of this hotel was very good. The hotel was very easy to find by car, and they have their own parking lot - which is big enough. The staff in the reception desk was very service minded, our kids got ice and balloons - and the room was very big (we got a handicap room). When I book hotel rooms by email, I also ask if they have a real double bed (and not twin bed). This hotel confirmed that we should get a real double bed, but that was not what we got. The staff in the reception told med that they don't have any real double beds. After checkin we ate some food in the hotel restaurant. The food was ok, but the prices were gourmet prices. Also - they didn't have aircondition, so in the restaurant it became very very hot. The bathroom in the handicap room was not so ok. It hasn't been refurbished for ages, and taking a shower was not funny. There were shower curtains sticking to my body all the time, and the shower faucet had a big switch flap that I touched every time I moved my body in there, so the temperature changed every time. The breakfast was good. They have a wifi-solution which does not work on iPhone (Telia cards with time-limit user name and code). If you need more towels that costs extra money (we got 2 towels for 4 persons).
