The hotel itself was nice. Lovely room for a reasonable price (comparing to other hotels in Narvik) beds were comfortable and bathroom was clean. Everything you would expect from any hotel. But the main thing that stood out for me were the staff. I was only there because I got stranded as buses were cancelled due to high winds. As a solo traveller I got a bit nervous and upset when my plans were postponed. But the girls at the hotel and in the restaurant were so friendly it really helped me feel at ease. I will never forget how they helped me. Thank you so much. In the end I had a very pleasant stay and I will be recommending this hotel to anyone who wishes to visit Narvik.

Just ok hotel in Narvik

We were 4 persons in two rooms. The rooms was "superior-type" and in the old part of the hotel. Those rooms need an upgrade, and the room I got, had a shower cabinet that looked really dirty, so we ha...

We were 4 persons in two rooms. The rooms was "superior-type" and in the old part of the hotel. Those rooms need an upgrade, and the room I got, had a shower cabinet that looked really dirty, so we had to shower at the other room. The shower was probably clean, but because of the age, it looked dirty. There was only one lightbulb working in the first room, and 3 out of 6 was defective in the second room. I recomend asking for a room in the new part, or find a different hotel in this city. The reseptionist was nice to us, but the day we arrived, the lobby smelled like urine. The smell probably came from the toilets at the bar in the room next to the lobby. Therefore we did not sit down in the design chairs in the lobby/lounge. The next day the smell was gone. I think I consider one of the small rooms in the new part, or a totally different hotel for my next visit.
