Not the best during our tour of Norway

The hotel benefits from a central location in town, close to shopping, bars and restaurants, and is certainly OK for a one-night stay. On the negative side the room we had was very small as was the bathroom in which the sink had a considerable crack in it. There was a small fridge in the room but no glasses or tea/coffee making facilities. The evening buffet was below average. All-in-all for convenience this hotel is more than adequate but its facilities are rather limited.

Stayed for one night and it has a great location. However, choose higher floors because across the street are also hotels. We had room 315 and had to close the window drapes completely for privacy. The room is oddly shaped and the hair dryer is in the reception area. The dinner is very limited: a choice of fish or chicken. Breakfast is just right. The bathroom shower stall is tight. The location is excellent. Don't miss to visit the Cathedral and take a walk on the Happiness Bridge.

Firstly, this hotel is extremely well situated in the centre of Trondheim and all major tourist attractions are easily accessible either on foot, bus or tram. Parking is also easy with cost per day around around 190kr. Traffic is also very, very light so city centre driving is easy e.g. 5pm and there's one bus and three cars! However, we decided that we would book the one and only "suite" that the hotel seemed to offer. (Later, it turns out that there are other rooms with separate bedroom and living area.) The "Nidaros" suite however was just bizarre with a living area complete with really smart jacuzzi bathroom connected to the bedroom with a long corridor which ran the entire length of the restaurant! The bedroom had its own bathroom and, strangely, a sofa bed which the living area didn't have! So, although two couples could have been accommodated with two bathrooms, they'd have had to sleep in the one bedroom!!! No-one had really thought the whole suite out with, amongst many other problems, two glass tables stuck into the living area seemingly surplus to requirements and a complete theatre sound system with nothing connected up. Altogether just very strange and management really need to just stay there one night to see what all the problems were. All in all, would I recommend this hotel? Yes, primarily for its location, but before I booked any of the rooms, I'd be tempted to contact them to find out exactly what I was getting! And, in its current form, avoid the Nidaros suite....

This hotel is in the center of Trondheim. The downside is that it is next to a square that has live/loud music all day. The upside is that the hotel is a short walking distance from the cathedral and shopping. The food in the hotel was alright but the buffet was often small.

Hi Sæmundur, Thanks for your kind review. It's good that you found our location convenient. Just to let you know; thankfully there is not loud music on a daily basis from the town square, but more on a from time to time basis. I guess there was some kind of event during the days of your visit. Best rgds. Eivind Quality Hotel Augustin
