Superb large houses for families - spa needs some upgrading

We had a large villa which was super when travelling witv children. The spa how ever may need both a touch up, seemed a bit old. Also would wish for more "stations" in the spa, such as foot spa or in...

We had a large villa which was super when travelling witv children. The spa how ever may need both a touch up, seemed a bit old. Also would wish for more "stations" in the spa, such as foot spa or infrared sauna for example. The spa is very basic with a pool, one regular and one steam sauna and two hot tubs (one outdoor)

I liked the villa best and the service least.I was promised one price at first,and they changed it when I booked.I was told that the lady made a mistake.I do not think its wright that the customer shall "suffer"because of that.It also gave us a less nice start on our vacation.They were friendly when we arrived,but we just had to accept that they made a mistake,and I think it is wrong that we did not get the price we were promised at first. The location is beautiful by the wather.The villas are beautiful with tasty interieur and a lot of space.

Nice stay at Holmsbu. The room and bed was very nice. So was the massage. The dinner was OK, but not very good. The breakfast however, was very good. The spa/pool area need some upgrade/renovation. Overall, a very good stay that ca be recommended.

Peaceful and relaxing in snowy Holmsbu

Stayed in a large villa when attending a wedding party at the hotel. The villas are really huge and nicely maintained. Walking up towards the villa in the snow created really charming surroundings. Equipped with fridge, oven, kitchen facilities an so on, the villa contained all the basics needed. They could have provided coffee for the coffee maker, or an iron to use in preps for the wedding (they do have this next to the main building). Very nice breakfast. Dinner was fine too, but slightly overpriced in comparison to the overall experience. Peaceful and relaxing surrondings. Quite expensive spa services, but the pool area is included in the room price. And that area was really good, with a variety of pools and hot tubs. Friendly and informative staff. Overall a good stay.

The hotel's name is QUALITY Resort and SPA, it charged us ca 411 euro for a standart room for to persons. The spa-package for 2015 with all inclusive showed one price online and the other one (higher)...

The hotel's name is QUALITY Resort and SPA, it charged us ca 411 euro for a standart room for to persons. The spa-package for 2015 with all inclusive showed one price online and the other one (higher) when we booked via email. We got the breakfast (which was very good!) and dinner included. The dinner had two main dishes to choose from and when we ordered one they said they have run out of it.... That is disappointing, especially when they JUST have two choices at the menu. We didn't also get the opportunity to get any spa treatments, because the hotel didn't have enough staff to do the treatments (and it's a spa hotel). It was full booked more than a week before... We could use the facilities though, but noticed quickly that nothing were properly cleaned there. There was sand in both inside and outside jacuzzi, the glass walls were dirty, the sauna was badly maintained. It felt like the management didn't care so much about keeping the hotel "in shape". The standart room for two people had just one chair, table, 150cm double bed (we asked for to single beds) and no mini bar/fridge. The receptionist said that standart rooms at the hotel don't have minibars or fridges... And in general I think that the staff should have been more helpful. When we were checking in the staff didn't give us any information about the hotel: where and when the breakfast was, where was the spa and pool, or gym. We had to walk around the hotel trying to find everything out by ourselves. I can't say that the hotel was so bad. It is just when you pay rather much money for a weekend at a quality spa hotel you expect much more than we actually got. What I liked most about the hotel are the location (at the fjord - beautiful at any weather) and breakfast (lots of choice, everything is fresh and tasty). But next time I want a SPA-weekend - I will find another hotel.

I am not very glad to read about your not acceptable meeting with our guest service staff. This is far off from how we strive to represent ourselves and how we have routines to provide great guest experiences.
