Eidfjord has many activities and experiences to offer, both for course and conference participants as well as for private individuals.

Experience the glaciers in the summer, go rafting on the fjord, or go on a guided mountain hike. FlatEarth is the biggest activities and events company in Hardanger. They offer nature experiences and activities on all levels and for every size of group, whether companies or private individuals. The base for the activities is in Övre Eidfjord, at the innermost part of the Hardanger fjord and just below the Hardangervidda mountain plateau. Professional and well-trained instructors will guide and accompany the group throughout the activity. The equipment used is of the highest quality and is safety-tested continuously. FlatEarth provides exciting activities year round for all kinds of groups. Private individuals can pre-book activities in the summer.

Eidfjord Aktiv

Eidfjord Aktiv offers a range of autumn, winter and spring activities. These include horse riding, hiking in the mountains with snowshoes, restaurant visits with traditional Norwegian food, or visit the baking cellar where you can try your hand at baking "krotakake", a kind of flat bread that is often made with potatoes. Eidfjord Aktiv has activities for your conference which you wouldn't be able to experience anywhere else.

Hardanger Saft- och Ciderfabrik

Hardanger Saft- och Ciderfabrik (juice and cider factory) is on the Lekve fruit farm in Ulvik. Lekve is a traditional fruit farm, with apples, plums and cherries. Just like most farms in Hardanger, they have their own secret recipe for delicious, strong cider. Apple orchards and cider making has been a part of Hardanger ever since the 1200s, when the monks first brought the tradition of the area. Genuine Hardanger cider is produced through natural fermentation. It should taste and smell of apples, be clear in colour and lightly carbonated.
