An El Dorado for winter activities
We are proud to be able to offer you a great stay right in the middle of Norway's El Dorado for winter activities.
There are more than 40 km of pistes of all levels of difficulty at Hafjell's ski slopes. The 31 slopes with a drop of 825 metres offer challenges for everyone – whether you prefer to stick to the green slopes or launch yourself down the blackest runs. The facility is part of Lillehammer Ski Resort, which means you can also use your lift ticket at Kvitfjell, Skeikampen, Gålå and Sjusjøen. In total, there are 43 lifts and 88 pistes across 113 kilometres of ski slopes. There are also 1,500 kilometres of cross country tracks in the area.
Hafjell gondola lift
The Hafjell gondola lift takes you safely up and down from the top, whether you want to go downhill, cross country or hiking. With 300 kilometres of prepared cross country tracks, Hafjell offers many hiking opportunities in the beautiful forest and mountain landscape. Why not take a trip to Rondane national park to the north?
Hafjell park is the perfect meeting place for snowboarders, twintip skiers and others practice their tricks on the way down the slopes. The park has been designed by some of the best experts in the field and offers many great challenges. Here you'll also find a ski-cross track.
The stable inland climate offers great skiing during the whole season which lasts from November to the end of April. The location of the slopes offers good protection from wind and 80% of the facility is covered by snow cannons.
More than just skiing
Hafjell is 15 kilometres north of Lillehammer in a region offering many exciting winter activities. In Hunderfossen family park, you can stay in the southern most ice hotel in Scandinavia and visit the ice cathedral. If you prefer more action, there are snowmobiles and quad-bikes available. For the braver vistors, a trip to Lillehammer's Olympic bob-sleigh and luge track is a must. Here you can test out bobsleighs and other sleighs on the track.
Food outlets and outdoor life
Right next to the slope, there are eight restaurants, four cafés and three bars/night clubs. Lillehammer is a short drive away and also offers a great range of bars, restaurants and night clubs.
