THE THIEF

The walls, floor and ceiling are black, both in the room, restaurant, reception and bar. This made the one-night stay a strange experience. Light switches are not to be found for instance at the entrance of the room, so there was a lot of fumbling amd stumbling around to take thinks out of bags in the dark unless one wanted to walk through the room to the other side of the bed and find the central light switch (which I never figured out and used my phone flashlight instead). The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. But I prefer brighter hotels.

This hotel is perfect for couples. It was romantic, quiet, and cozy. We enjoyed the spa twice (you take a private elevator in your robe!) and the turn-down service was a lovely evening ritual. The bed and pillows were so comfortable, and everyone was friendly. The staff remembered us at breakfast each day, and the breakfast itself might be my favorite part - a little of everything! Best tea I've ever had. Try the Norwegian brown cheese in a waffle, too. We loved sitting by the fire at the bar and having a nightcap, or standing in the balcony looking over the harbor. Everything was excellent and relaxing. It was also an easy and fun walk along the harbor promenade with tons of cafes and restaurants and art. The museums and ferries to museums are also right there in the harbor. You can walk a bit further and be in the city center in no time. I hope to stay here again soon!

Excellent location, wonderful ambience and impeccable service. The restaurant on level 2 also serves a sumptuous breakfast. On to of that many eateries within walking distance of the hotel & easy access to public transport Truly enjoyed our stay here
