We love contrast at the Fru K restaurant. With one foot firmly planted in Norwegian traditions, and the other in the urban and dynamic culture that defines the new Tjuvholmen district, Fru K is developing its own special individuality.
Fru K's philosophy is all about picking out the best of Norwegian food traditions and complementing them with new additions that are in tune with the times in which we live and work, and with the world around us. The cornerstone of Fru K's cuisine is always seasonal ingredients. With the greatest of respect for the farmers and fishermen, our chef Kari spends a great deal of time finding the right suppliers.
There's not a white tablecloth or a snooty waiter in sight at Fru K. Our menu accommodates everyone, whether it's an impromptu bite to eat after a gallery visit, an important business lunch or celebrations for a really special occasion. Fru K also has a private dining room if you prefer a bit more seclusion.
The hotel bar can be found at one end of Fru K, where you can enjoy an aperitif or perhaps a nightcap.
