Strömstad Spa & Resort

Great hotell, great service, great location, great breakfast, great rooms, great view from the balcony but the dinner did not meet the standard I was expecting. The hotell was very clean all over, both the rooms and the common areas looked clean and nice.

Very average hotel that needs a good cleaning and updating. We were excited for this hotel. When we went to our room the door was open with nobody in it. Strange but no big deal. We had a large corner balcony room. There is no. Air conditioning in the room. This has caused mold to grow in the room. There was a dishwasher with a rubber mat under it covered in mold. I had to take allergy medicine after being in The room The floor has gotten wet in certain areas so it had swelled and was sticking up. The balcony had used socks on it from the last guest. The room was quite noisy at night. People were drunk and loud in a other room. Other guests were banging on the wall to try to shut them . Up at 2am. There is no phone in the room to call the front desk. The bedroom was small and cramped. The breakfast in the morning seemed processed and not fresh. We tried the food but ended up going somewhere else. There was a lot of variety just not quality The spa was the bright spot of the place. We had a private session and they were all very attentive and it seemed very clean. The hotel is off the beaten path but they still charge to park. For the price the quality was just not there. Would no return

Just a really big disappointment. Ice cold room, radiators turned off or to absolutely lowest. The room/deluxe/apartment was dirty, stained sheets. Lots of dust on surfaces, worn. Broken tiles in the bathroom, stains on the toilet. Dirty floor. Light bulb flickering. Broken terrace door. In short. Not satisfactory (and I'm not picky) We tried calling reception for 30 minutes regarding the ice cold rooms but no answer on the phone. Had to get dressed and walk down to reception. She said she was alone and unable to answer the phone due to staff being ill. The pool area was nice, but the men's changing rooms/shower area in the spa was a disaster area.. towels, bathrobes and flippers everywhere. It should have been staffed, terrible condition. It didn't feel sanitary/clean. The staff at the bar was a little unfriendly and mostly busy talking to each other. The breakfast buffet was nice except for the gut making the omelette, he was obviously sick with a cold and should have stayed home. I'll attach some pictures of the things mentioned in the room. I don't usually take pictures of bad stuff, just good. However, this was a terrible experience and the cold room was the worst. They gave us a tiny electric fan made for a small room, but it didn't help much and we had to listen to it all night.

No controll in the restaurant - waited 2 hours for the dinner. No controll om the reservation The waiter is OK but was not informed about our package. As we understood it the problem was the capacity in the kitchen. The wine list is very short and no quality wine……………………..

Good crockery and nice place. Helpful service. Clean and neat rooms. Good bed. Lovely spa facility. Good food and an enormously great breakfast buffet with great variety and selection. Nice package solutions that give everyone the opportunity for a nice and affordable stay. A bit small roast lamb for dinner, which I missed that we were given a choice as to whether we liked it, or wanted better roast. But all in all, I would highly recommend a stay here.
