We had an excellent weekend with walks in some of Norway's most awe-inspiring landscapes (saw a large herd of reindeer, which was spectacular) to relaxing in the spa (small but adequate). The climbing wall was challenging and had a range of levels from 4 - 7+. The service was excellent and the hotel comfortable. The rooms were clean and the bed comfortable.

It was a bit difficult to find our way to the hotel. Don't trust your navigation system always! You better ask! When we arrived, we were impressed by the building. It looks modern but has also something classic. The rooms are very good. We even had a bath in our bedroom! The reception was very friendly en helped us well. The restaurant was also very good. The menu's were only in Norwegian. The waiter helped us out, but he had on that moment less time because there was a group Asian people dining. But we had e fine dinner. My wife didn't like the beans that were served and she got a normal salad. That was very nice! We had the spa for the two of us. There was another couple, but that was it. There was no personnel. We only could get water from a fountain. That was a little bit pity. But we enjoyed the spa.

Never been treated better. Staff were very friendly, they valued our business and appreciated the money we were there to spend (not in a greedy way). Very willing to have a conversation despite an obvious language barrier, the receptionist advised us of something to do during the day outside of the hotel as well as inside. Suggestions of things to do for free as well as paid excursions. The restaurant was amazing. We expected fancy-pants food that would leave us with a huge bill and unsatisfied appetites and it was the exact opposite. Menu was translated for us by the waiter without a question and the choices were varied and plentiful. Service was excellent and food came out promptly and looked beautiful. It was well cooked, nothing was overcooked, everything was the way it should be. There was just nothing wrong at all, but saying this plays down how good it was. The place just worked and finding any criticism is very difficult and we both work in restaurants so usually find something to complain about! They were very honest with explaining how tipping staff worked in Norway and were grateful when receiving a tip. There was a jacuzzi, a pool, a gym and a sauna that were free to use without a booking. We did not use the gym or the sauna but the pool and jacuzzi were spotlessly clean. Either the jets in the jacuzzi were not working or we couldn't work it out, and there was no staff to be found in this area. Was a little disappointing but we viewed it as an extra anyway so it did not affect our stay. The room had a good bathroom and shower, a good double bed, excellent ventilation due to a patio door overlooking the ski resort and beautiful surrounding views. Value for money was way off, but in the customers favour. The price for the room was a touch expensive for what the pictures suggested, but the rest of the hotel and the experience of being there justified the price instantly. We really were valued as guests not customers and would have happily paid more. It seemed like money was the second thing they were interested in with service being their utmost priority. Thank you for a brilliant stay.

We went here the start of May when there was still a lot of snow! The resort had an event on the first day but the second day it was lovely and peaceful and we pretty much had the spa to ourselves - lots of indoor plunge pools and the outdoor Jacuzzi's are great. We didn't eat dinner here we brought out own food but the breakfast we had in the restaurant was pretty good!
