I spent a week at Holmsbu Hotel & Spa, for a team building event, so, it was more business than pleasure, but still, I was able to fully enjoy the time I was there. A week to remember. Location is simply amazing, the fjords are beautiful during the summer, the whole place is quiet and will provide you with an unforgettable experience. I stayed in a villa, close to the beach, with the bedrooms rather small, but for the rest, I have no complaints. The food at the restaurant was also good, maybe a bit pricey, but hey, this is Norway, nice place like this with great nature and beautiful nature is not cheap. In summary, I would recommend this place for a nice vacation, with the family(or friends), if you like nature, and you don't mind to pay a premium for the whole experience.

This hotel is for a family weekend or holiday as well as for larger groups and conventions. This spa hotel has indoor and outdoor swimming pools, but a swim in the ocean is my favorite and its literally outside your hotel room. The hotel has a level of service that do not meat my expectations, but food is very good, breakfast as well as dinner menu is comprehensive enough to meet the taste of most peoples. During the summer tourists are arriving in their own boats. The spa department offer every type of treatment, but the profesionalism is mixed. The hotel is located about 100 km and an hour from Oslo.

This hotel, rather "difficult" to find, is a nice place to visit, both for a conference and and for vacation. I stayed in a "villa" close to the hotel. Clean and fresh, with a nice view and a "small village feeling". The service was good at the hotel and I enjoyed my stay here. Dind´t have time to use the SPA. Recommended!

The location of the hotel is beautiful and I've got nothing to say on that. We stayed at one of these small houses called "Sjøbod" in Norwegian, which was good - we had 6 beds, two bathrooms, living room and kitchen. Kitchen is good cause it makes it possible to cook your own food, that makes your stay in Norway a lot more cheaper! Just remember to buy food on the grocery while you're nearby, the on located in Holmsbu center has a small opening hour. Anyways, the spa was ok nothing more nothing less. I enjoyed it in the common area where it is a pool, jacuzzi, steam bath and sauna. I would prefer to buy a privat spa session to get anything out of it at all.

We sailed from Asker to visit family who were staying in one of the little red sjøbod (a three bedroom sea chalet) right on the beach at Holmsbu Hotel & Spa. We moored in the sheltered, peaceful harbour at the Hotel for two nights (mooring costs kr. 195,- per night). The hotel facilities are delightful for our family, who are all keen swimmers, and Holmsbu village is just at the right distance to make it a nice expedition to cycle there for supplies or just an icecream and wander round the cute shops and galleries.
