Entering the hotel on a businesstrip with colleagues, we felt curios after reading a lot about it's Spa dept. Checking in was ok, the rooms were bright and comfortable. The buildings was were handsome With a lot of glasses and Mirrors. Our big expectation was concerning the SPA dpt. And..... we where positive surprised. We felt like nobilities. And we will come back.... Did I forget to mention the surroundings. Parts of the hotel are standing on pillars in the sea. WOW.

Awful customer service, conflicting information

The spa itself is lovely, there are tons of various steam rooms and treatments available its clean and there is plenty there to keep you relaxed (but not bored!) for hours on end. I would 100% go to the spa again. That being said the hotel itself wasn't great. The biggest problem is the staff lack training and knowledge of the hotel and the information you get even straight forward information like what time is check in conflicts where it really shouldn't! For example Hotels.com (Where we booked our stay) lists check in to be at 3pm whereas on the FarrisBad.no website it is listed at 4pm, when we got there it was actually 4pm so we stored our bags and went out for lunch first. No a big issue but this is just one of many conflicts in information. We also rang to add a pet to our hotel booking and I was told 250kr was the charge however online 200kr is the charge when I got in contact to check which was right they seemed very unsure and I was eventually told 200kr. I was also told we would have access to the spa the next day till 3pm and this is NOT the case unless you pay an additional fee for late check out. The room was OK, there was a party downstairs and you could here everything so I could see this being a problem if you needed to stay in your room and rest. The biggest problem came the day after we had checked out. We had paid for our stay in full prior to our arrival on hotels.com however when I checked out bank account afterwards I saw we had been charged AGAIN in full. I rang them straight away and I made a total of 15 phone calls. Reception rang until it went dead on eight seperate occasions. I tried invoice queries and someone answered there and told me they would send an email to reception and reception would call me right back, two hours later no phone call so I called AGAIN to be told I would be put directly through, it rang until the line went dead. I left it a few hours and called invoice queries yet again to be told I would just have to wait and emails had been sent and they would call back that day. They never did. I also emailed them directly myself and got no reply. My husband took over calling them in the evening and managed to finally get through on reception where they said the money had just been taken as a 'deposit' and would be returned which it now has been but what hotel takes 100% of the cost of your stay prior to your stay and takes 100% of the cost AGAIN as a deposit?! Make sure you bring a credit card if you stay here and don't want it to eat into your spending money!

Sometimes you might just use resources to pamper your partner and yourself with a great Spa experience, nice and tasteful surroundings. This Spa hotel claims to have the largest facilities in Scandinavia. Different saunas, sometimes Aufguss presentations, and other spa facilities, including the possibility of access to the sea by means of a ladder. Lots of young couples and pregnant females having a last Spa event before motherhood. Very professionally run - and you pay for it.
