The Copperhill Mountain Lodge concept
The hotel takes its name from the fact that the area was formerly a part of Fröå Mine – which was active during a copper-tinted era of hard work and prosperity. Today, visitors are overawed by the nature, impressive mountain views and hotel's spectacular architecture, art and design. Come and visit us whatever the season, and enjoy the hotel's warm atmosphere with friendly people and open fires – somewhere you can indulge all your senses.
Art, design and architecture
The architecture of the hotel has the stamp of world-famous designer Peter Bohlin, known for his designs of Apple's prestigious stores in New York, London and Tokyo as well as Bill Gate's private residence. The Copperhill Mountain Lodge is a modern take on a classic ski lodge, and uses genuine natural materials such as pine, copper and slate, with large open areas and plenty of natural light. The design is characterised by a warm, pure colour scheme, natural materials, modern design classics, and European contemporary art of the highest class.
Dream location for skiers
In the winter you can put your skis on right outside our front door and head straight out into Åre's extensive lift system. The Copperhill Express lift brings you all the way back home again. Åre-Björnen's cross-country ski centre and touring tracks are close by, and you can go heli-skiing from the hotel's own helipad. Read more about what Åre and the hotel have to offer here!
Mountain hiking
In the summer and autumn there are plenty of well-marked hiking trails right on our doorstep. You can borrow hiking poles and baskets to collect berries from the hotel. We're more than happy to give you advice about the best routes, and also have our own mountain-running guidebook that we give to all our mountain-running guests.
Award-winning spa
At our hotel you find Level Spa, Level Spa & Health Club (winner of 'Spa of the Year' at the European Hotel Design Awards 2009). Here you can enjoy indoor and outdoor hot springs, an indoor spa pool, sauna, gym, and panorama views across Åreskutan. If you feel like treating yourself to even more privacy, there's also a private spa area for up to 20 people.

Looking for a room with a view or a suite for all your friends? You can choose everything from double rooms and romantic suites for two to practical family suites with kitchen and suites large enough for two families or all your friends. All our rooms and suites are decorated in warm pure colours, with natural materials, design classics and pictures showing the history of Åre.
