Unique design with inspiration from Sundsvall, New York and Tokyo
After the Great Fire of Sundsvall in 1888 that left the city in ruins, central Sundsvall was completely rebuilt, this time in stone. Following its reconsutrction, it became known as the "Stone City". This historical event, commonly regarded as the biggest fire in Swedish history,and the province's official stone, Alnöit, are the main sources of inspiration for the hotel's external design. The interior décor is inspired by global cities including New York and Tokyo. Local and global elements work together to create a powerful atmosphete that we feel really must be experienced in person!
