Clarion Collection® Hotel Wellington

Really enjoyed this stay! Super friendly staff and the location is great. Me and my son had a great sleep in comfy beds with soft linen and cushions. Really appreciated the cosiness of the hotel and the no rush at breakfast. Free dinner was a luxury that is an out of the ordinary experience in hotels.

GENERAL (3,5/4) Stayed in the delightfully old fashioned nearby annexe of the 1909 A.D. (but adroitly modernized) variety. Large window in room, with a lovely courtyard view, just as everybody should like it. Small and narrow 1990 (precisely!) bathroom with standard-size cabinet that pushes you back out of the room and prevents you from reaching sink or bending. There was adequate lighting and the TV worked as intended. Slight noise from hallway. Superb location in the tranquil heart of a central older district. Slept well. MENU Breakfast buffet served on-site, if the grumpy staff lets you at it. A couple arriving half a minute after me was turned away. They saw me filling my plate as they were forced to leave and should have said something. A satisfying buffet with good bread. Dinner was unexceptional, with a characterless tomato soup, two dull vegetable patties brought out especially for the vegetarian, and several salads, which were excellent . SERVICE Wellingtons reception desk was filled to the brim with inexperienced but nice 19-yearolds hired for the summer season, who gave me the wrong time for breakfast, and claimed that eating the same breakfast in the main building instead would induce a charge! Breakfast ended at, would you believe it, 9 o'clock sharp! Serving breakfast til at least 10, if not 11, o'clock in the morning, should be mandatory during the summer months. Guest are not travelling for work but for many a languorous sleep-in. Something any hotel would be expected to know. A hotel cash ban will never award top grades (as keeping cash is a matter of national security). Oh well! They can't all be Clarion Borgen.

Centrally located, excellent value and wonderful staff! Bountiful breakfast and dinner plus afternoon sweets included. Room had a balcony to watch the beautiful sunset. Great for families with young children. Would absolutely stay here again. .Enjoy!

The location is prime, walking-distnace to anywhere at Østermalm, Gamla stan, museums, shopping, and tons of lovely bars and restaurants.There is even a decent bar at the hotell itself. The rooms is funtional and has all things needed. The staff is friendly and helpful. THis hotel made my first proper visit to Stockholm great!

Our family stayed at the Hotel Wellington (guest house building) a few years ago and really pleased to be able to stay again, this time in the main building. It is a cozy hotel situated in a quiet residential neighborhood and an easy walk to Old Town/Gamla Stan, museums, the metro. The staff is kind and helpful. And delicious supper and breakfast!
