Clarion Collection® Hotel Victoria

We spent one night at this hotel on our want to Stockholm. The hotel is nice and the staff accommodating. The evening meal and breakfast was good. The atrium area where the meals are served is nice. The location is also good.

Was there for the Dreamhack event and chose this hotel ,which worked out great! The staff was accommodating , the chef provided wonderful meals .. what more could you ask for ! Pontus was the staff member at the checkin… so sweet and polite.. he was the best! Thank you for a wonderful stay in Jonkoping!!

The Victoria is one of the most comfortable hotels I have stayed in for a long time. Although, technically a 3 to 4 star establishment, the rooms and bathrooms are 5 star comfort and cleanliness. Our bed was perfect and the walk-in shower was simply as good as a shower can be, and the bath products were all excellent. We used the room a lot during the day, and the fact it had two, large and comfortable armchairs was a great bonus. The service at the Victoria was also exemplary, and we found everyone, from the desk manager to the chambermaid, cheerful, helpful and informative. The included breakfast was generous, and offered a wide variety, cold and hot, for all morning tastes. And finally, one of the main attractions of the Victoria is the fact that a nightly "free" supper is available for all guests. Three minor negative points regarding the room, was that the electric lighting in the bedrooms was very gloomy, only suites have mini-fridges, and although of good quality linen, the bath towels, were far too small. A more contentious issue for us however, was the suppers. Regular travellers to Sweden will know how expensive it is to dine out, especially in the evenings, so the attraction of a free hotel supper is very strong, especially if one is staying for several days, as we were. The problem with this though, is that one is also something of a captive audience, and thus hostage to whatever the hotel chef decides to serve up on a given evening. There is no menu - it is a take it or leave it production, and while I have no doubt that the majority of the guests staying at the Victoria are totally satisfied with their suppers, there will be those for whom the food becomes increasingly dull and institutional. So, overall, we would strongly recommend the Victoria as the most comfortable and best run hotel in Jonkoping, but with the proviso, that for a minority of epicureans, the "free" supper attraction should be treated with caution.

Great hotel, centrally located. You’ll sleep well in comfortable beds. Modern TV and clean bathroom. The hotel also has a beautiful atrium where coffee and breakfast is served (it gets very busy and a bit too crowded at breakfast time, accessibility could be improved).

Very happy with my stay and I can really recommend this centrally located hotel. My room was newly touched up, clean and tidy. The Breakfast is really nice and the staff is very observant and keep this area nice and clean as well. Really appreciate the porridge, which is rarely seen these days. Another advantage is the evening meal, free of charge, which is a true competitor to dine down town.
