The Clarion Hotel Wisby is conveniently located in the old part of Visby, just a short walk from the marina. The city of Visby is a UNESCO World Heritage site, having been named one of the best preserved among the medieval Hanseatic towns. Visby feels like a small town where everything is within reach. Visby Airport is just a 15-minute drive from the hotel, and both the ferry terminal (Hamnterminalen) and Wisby Strand are only 15 minutes' walk away.
The hotel
The atmosphere is pretty spectacular here at the Clarion Hotel Wisby. Modern elements have been carefully intertwined with historical details – the medieval alley and 13th century pillars have been carefully restored and preserved for modern generations to admire. The Clarion Hotel Wisby first opened on 1 May 1991, but our premises have been in use as a hotel since the mid-1800s. You can read more about the hotel's long history here.

Our in-house restaurant, Kitchen and Table by Marcus Samuelsson, offers an exciting blend of Manhattan flavours and local produce. Our historical premises date back to the 17th century, with quirky details and a unique atmosphere. Enjoy an evening of "fun dining" as well call it with an exciting menu in relaxed setting. Kaptenshuset is our breakfast, brunch and lunch restaurant. We also host conference lunches and dinners in this space. The restaurant has several rooms with muted colours and a genuine turn-of-the-century feel.
