If you go in knowing it’s super basic, then you shouldn’t be surprised. The location is excellent, and the room was clean and convenient for our needs. The beds are def small as others mentioned, so keep it in mind if you are sharing a bed. Towels are also super small. As others mentioned, the lock on the door is annoying and I wish the person at the front desk pointed it out. Luckily we had to go back to the room to get something and realised the door hadn’t locked.

Hi Alcnyc, Thank you for taking your time to review us after your stay, we really appreciate it - and i know other travellers do too! Due to fire safety the door has a delay on the lock, ranging from 25-60 seconds, designed to make sure that you can get back into your room, even if you forget your key, in case of fire. It resets the timer every time you open the door to check if it's locked itself, and you can of course lock it manually straight away with your key card. If you're unsure about the doors, i recommend asking the reception :-) I hope you loved Tromsø half as much as we do, and i hope we get to see you again some day! //Katerina

The only thing good about the hotel is the location, just next to the airport shuttle pick-up point. Bed was kinda small, i had to squeeze with my husband. I requested a double bed, which was smaller than the other double bed in my previous accommodation. Another point to take note is that before you leave the hotel room, you must remember to lock your room by taping the room card! We didn't know about it until our 2nd day at the hotel when my husband checked to make sure the door was locked.

Hi Hammie2010, Thank you for taking your time to provide some feedback after your stay, we love feedback, it's what helps making us better! Our beds have two sizes, standard double 140cm or standard single 90cm. However in our moderate double rooms the bed is between three walls meaning that you can only exit the bed from one side, where as in a standard double room you can walk around the bed - and that can definitely give an illusion of more space. The doors lock automatically, you do not have to lock it yourself - but you can. Due to fire safety the door has a delay on the lock, ranging from 25-60 seconds to make sure that you can get back in your room even without the card in case of fire outside. Every time you open your door you reset the timer, making it start from the beginning again. If you do not want to wait, you can use your key to lock it straight away. The location of the hotel is nice. I understand the policy about the rooms being cleaned every fourth day. However, I stayed longer than that and my room was never cleaned... Also, I was never told about the door lock. I figured out by checking that the door does not lock automatically from the outside. I then used trip advisor to confirm! Rather you have to touch your key to lock the door when you are heading out. This should have been shared upon check in.

It was very cold. they made the reception place warm but not room. i complained it than they said to open bathroom so the warm floor will goes to room. but they gave me room that machine controlling the temperature was broken. i said something is wrong several time. but didnot change it till i talked them 3rd time.(even i took picture to show them because i worried they will not visit my room) when i talked to second time, the receptionist even scold me to get used in cold norway weather. And she even end my conversation without solving my problem at all. there was no hair and shampoo so I said it twice to fill it. she brought the shampoo to install but just left that. so i by myself open the cap and install it. Am i room clean person? They use eco friendly to do nothing about service. they dont offer anything. there is no phone to talk so i need to visit frontdesk if i have question. i asked if there is any dish or fork, then they said to bring the paper dish and folk on the first floor next to reception place. Is it eco to use paper dish and folk? the room was small and i really do not think the price is cheap. i would rather pay more 100-200nok to go other normal hotel. I really liked other hotels in norway. they were kind and service was perfect.

Dear Id a, We are sorry to hear you feel like your complaint was not properly taken care of while staying with us. Although we did do several things to try and help, first of all we did change your room twice during your 2 days stay as to try and accommodate your wishes. Also our front desk offered a couple of "tips & tricks" for getting more heat in your rooms, like turning up the bathroom thermostat as well as your room thermostat. We are of course sorry if you feel that this was unclear when you communicated with our staff. I can understand that it might feel like items as paper dishes and cutlery is not eco-friendly, but let me assure you that all "1-use items" in our hotel, both plastic and paper, are all bio-degradable and recycled for reusable purposes. Regarding amenities in your room you are correct in the fact that they are minimalistic, as we are not a full service hotel, and we have what we call selected services. This means that we have cut some services so as to be able to offer you the best possible rate, we are commonly 20%-30% under the general market rate in the city. We do appreciate your feedback as it helps us work every day towards the best possible customer service and the best journey for our guest. Again we are sorry to hear that you feel our service was not up to your expectations, but we do hope you had a wonderful time in Tromsø even still. Best regards,

Tromsø is a very expensive city so to find this hotel at such a reasonable rate was a god send. Rooms had everything you need and the fact it's not serviced until the 4th day really isn't an issue at all. Rooms quiet and hotel in a good location only thing that could be improved on is the quality of pillow but that's my only critique. We plan on revisiting Tromsø and we'll definitely stay here again
