Noisy ventilation system - if you open the windows you get the noise of aircraft from very close runway. Loud music playing from a room party at 3am on the Saturday night. Hotel bedrooms incredibly hot and clammy. After 2 nights in this hotel I was fatigued. This is not the hotel to choose if you want a decent nights sleep. Avoid.

We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights. The front desk people are not very helpful and come off as rude. First, our rooms were not ready and then when they were they were rushed to check us in. The restaurant was not open when we had to wait for our room to become available. Housekeeping and the other staff are very friendly especially in the restaurant. The restaurant was quite good. However, the rooms are very outdated and beds not very comfortable. It is light out most of the day in Norway and the shades don't easily black out the room. You can only crack the window and the rooms get stuffy. There was only one working lightbulb in the bathroom. Plenty of parking. Gym is small but, good. Free Ice Cream and Coffee throughout most of the day. The shuttle is not available before 8am and Taxi's are expensive in Norway.

It’s service has scaled down too low from the time I started visiting .. this is my 6th or 7th visit and I would call it . Breakfast options have gradually decreased (hot breakfast menu) , hardly any pastries !! They used to have coffee machines in all rooms and now removed , FUNNY PART IS HOTEL GUEST NOW NEEDS TO PAY 25 KRONER TO GET A COFFEE .. I haven’t seen any choice hotel in stavanger which does that . Last but of all, I had booked 3 nights stay and was given last room in the longest corridor possible .. reception folks dint care even when I asked with courtesy even though hotel looked empty !! Rooms are cold ... very cold and heaters are switched off . Only upscale is free parking and close to airport . This a low budget hotel , if you are to pay more than 1000kr per night like did here ..pls choose clarion Air and it’s worth it !

As with most guests, I just needed one night here to catch an early flight. The selling point is the locality to the airport which is still a 20 min walk from the hotel lobby. This is fine if the weather is OK, but I wouldn’t fancy it in the middle of a Norwegian winter. Luckily the hotel does run a shuttle during daytime hours. Check in was smooth and efficient and despite the room being a long walk down a dark corridor all was fine once in the room. Restaurant is nothing special, pleasant enough views and average menu with typical Norwegian prices. If you need somewhere close to the airport and can’t get in the other hotels then this is an acceptable alternative. Free charging for electric cars too.
