This hotel is a great choice in Oslo, good value for money and surprisingly quiet given the central location. The buffet breakfast was great, with a range of different options to choose from. Single room was a good size, with space to store luggage. I will stay again, and definitely recommend to others.

I am here for a business trip, my room is quiet and clean. Doesn’t have view, but enough sun shines. Reception is very simple but practice. Breakfast selections are a bit less then other hotels I have been to in Norway, but still not bad. TV channels are not too many though.

Comfort hotel Grand Central has a great location in central Oslo with the possibility to walk indoor from Oslo central station. What’s greets you is a chaotic lobby/reception/bar/hangout area and you don’t really know where to check in. After greeted by a welcoming receptionist I was pointed the direction to my room. The room was located on the third floor overlooking the Jernbanetorget square and the beginning of the main shopping street Karl Johans Gate. Before check-in I emailed the hotel and asked if I could pay for an upgrade as I wanted some space. I was told I was given the largest room in my category so I should be fine. Well, this hotel don’t want more of my money so I was eager to see my room. The room had a long corridor with a decent size bathroom. The room itself however was cramped, and had a double bed, a comfy chair and a desk with a plastic chair that looked like it was collected from a camping site. What was most surprising to me was the intense noise from the radiator oven on the wall. I went down to the reception again and asked for a bigger room which I once again offered to pay for. They were a bit behind on the cleaning but I was offered a superior room after one hour. The new room again had a catwalk long corridor, a smaller bathroom, but a larger living area with to comfy chairs, a desk with a this time nicer chair. The bed situation was a mess. A double bed that was uncomfortable with two people in as we were rolling towards the middle of the bed ending up stuck to each other during the night. Perhaps a new bed is needed in this room. Breakfast the day after is served in a very tiny restaurant, but the atmosphere was nice. The breakfast options consist of cold cuts, eggs, bacon, turkey sausages, chia pudding, oat meal, croissants, banana bread, rolls and coffee, tea, juice, smoothie and ginger shot is also offered. All in all this hotel is good for an overnight stay if exploring Oslo city is your main goal. Being at your room more than just sleeping is depressing and not recommended. The hotel has an environmental policy with stickers all over the place in case you forget to turn off the water, hang your towel back up, pressing the wrong button when you flush the toilet, forget to throw your garbage or if you want to leave behind some of your clothes in a paper bag they offer in your room?

Hi there, Thank you for your feedback from your stay with us. Our co-work lobby and barception (combined bar and frontdesk) is a great hang out spot for our guests and Oslo residents. Here you can grab a cup of coffee, get some work done on your laptop or just relax with friends. We're happy to hear that you got to change the room. We will make sure to double check the bed here, our beds should of course be comfortable and give you a good nights sleep. I hope you will give us a new chance on your next visit to Oslo. /Johanna & Team
