Clarion Collection® Hotel Arcticus

The years are starting to show in wear and tear on this hotel. The rooms are ok and the breakfast is decent. Nice view from the breakfast room. They have a relax room on the 4. floor with a sauna and a small and old work out equipment. Seems like the hotel prefers the guests fat instead of fit since they serve unhealthy food almost all day through. 😉

Due to a meeting we needed 5 rooms in this hotel, including a double room (parents + two children). The reception offered us nice, clean, good rooms with interesting, fascinating view to the harbor next to the hotel. The meals were included in the price. The hotel is located in the same building as the culture house and the city library of Harstad. In the reception there are good places to relax. The hotel is located in a quiet area of the city. The price for the rooms acceptable compared to Norwegian level. Airport bus stop at the hotel.

It's either Scandic or Clarion and this time it was Clarion. The rooms are clean and has a decent size. I would recommend to pay the extra kroner for a oceanview room in the winter, due to the noise from snow and ice clearing on the other side.

Nice hotel in a nice location just overlooking the harbour. Rooms are clean, spacious and convenient. Wifi good. Wonderful staff. Only breakfast could be much better. The coffee machine was broken, juice only from machine. No sweets.

Located right next to the harbour you can´t do better when it comes to location and the view. If you arrive Harstad with the ferry it is 7-10 min walk to the hotel. The citycenter with shops and restaurants are also 5-10 min walk. Grocery shop next the hotel. Had a great one night stay and the service from the staff was very good from arrival to departure. In the afternoon there is waffles for free in the restaurant and in the evening they serve a free evening meal for all guests.. (This was good but not great the night I visited, the warm food was to cold..) My room, #517, was so spacious, with a very comfortable double bed, sofa and chair. The bathroom had a shower and a tub and great toiletries from Rituals. Free Wifi in room. Highly recommended when in Harstad.
