Quality Hotel™ Strand

I stay at this hotel about once a week, and I can definitely recommend it: great location, good breakfast, and excellent service. I recommend booking a superior room, you will stay in the new wing which is fresher than the old wing.

Beautiful hotel! Nice and spacious rooms. Loved the spa and pool area. Great breakfast with a lot of variety. Pleasant and cheerful staff. Just a walk from restaurants and bars. We had an amazing stay, and look forward to next time!

It was a nice stay on a beautiful hotel, friendly reception and good location close to a river. Unfortunately the cleanliness of the bathroom has to be improved. Especially after claiming it was only partly changed/cleaned.

Low standard and too expensive prize for this Deluxe room. The sofa was dirty with many grose spots. The minibar was not cold and, could be cleaned better. There were clean sheets i the bed, and clean bathrom with Good products - Rå. They had a good breakfast bufee and nice people working there.

I did not plan to spend much time in this place, it was located conveniently close to Oslo airport. While the hotel chain tirelessly sent emails and text messages in advance telling me how excited they were to host me and about the available amenities they failed to tell anyone that due to extensive roadworks in downtown Gjøvik the hotel's parking spaces as well as the close-by private parking facility could only be reached by ignoring roadsigns and cutting short by driving through another parking facility. When I mentioned this at check-in, the reply was "Yes, but you managed after all." The room (standard room) was off a decent size, however the height was very low at the window side (about 2,00 m) which felt quite oppressing. The windows could only be opened by force and the window frame scratched along the window sill with much noise. The windows did not seem to have been cleaned from the inside for quite some time. The bed and sheets were clean and comfortable. The bathroom: if there are damages and if one decided not to repair them or repair them later, one should stand up to that decision and not try to hide them. On a shelf below the mirror were some burned (?) spots and they all had been covered by little paper plates as one would put below a drink. Weird decision. The drinking glasses had obviously not been cleaned for some time (relax, I did clean them meticulously) as a lot of spots from dried liquids could be seen when holding them up against the light. Breakfast was convenient with a wide range of Norwegian and traditional hotel breakfast food - nothing to take note of. Probably not going to stay there again.
