The Quality Hotel Vøringfoss rises like a white cliff out of the impressive scenery which gives the area its unique character. Families, conference guests and sports enthusiasts love it here.
Between Oslo and Bergen
Vøringsfoss is in central Norway, approx two hours from Bergen and 4.5 hours from Oslo. The magnificent and inspirational scenery outside the hotel creates a peaceful atmosphere, both outside and in the hotel. The surroundings have also influenced the design of the hotel's many rooms which are full of natural light.
At the hotel we have a conference facility for meetings, training courses and conferences. We'll help you with all you need for professional and rewarding functions, and are also glad to help with the planning of activities and experiences in beautiful Hardanger.
Quality Hotel Vøringfoss is cash-free, which ensures added security for our guests and visitors. More information about this can be found under FAQs.
The dining experience is important to us, and our dedicated and qualified chefs work hard in the kitchen to serve culinary delights of a high standard. We are also quality certified for "Hardanger Menu". During the high season (May to September), we serve both a buffet and an à la carte menu.
Hardangervidda National Park
Right beside the deep blue Hardangerfjord water with the beautiful Hardangervidda National Park as its closest neighbour, the hotel offers close encounters with nature. The National Park has been the biggest in Norway, ever since it was established in 1981. Sandfloegga mountain has an altitude of 1,721 above sea level. It has rich flora and fauna that can be experienced on foot or on ski through a grid of paths and tracks. Hardangervidda is also a popular place for kiting. Vøringsfossen itself, Norway's most famous waterfall, is located just 20 km from the hotel.
The hotel of today was built in 2001, but has hotel traditions dating back to 1889. The new hotel is based on the same traditions as the original, and is located at the quay, surrounded by majestic mountain peaks and the deep fjord. The reception, restaurant and bar were fully refurbished in March 2017.
