You'll find our hotel by the sea in the old part of the pretty town of Arendal. We are less than 60 km away from Kristiansand Airport and only a short walk from the main bus terminal, so it's a convenient location if you're flying in on business, but like the idea of being in the centre of town to enjoy its rich cultural life.With 96 rooms ranging from our standard doubles to suites, we are big enough to accommodate large business events but small enough to feel personal. All guests have access to free WiFi throughout the hotel and there is parking here at the hotel. Guests at the Clarion Hotel Tyholmen can also use a nearby gym free of charge - ideal for some time to yourself or to work up a sweat in an exercise class!
To get your day off to the best possible start, guests can enjoy a great breakfast with both hot and cold food. And it has been voted Aust-Agder's breakfast buffet for several years. From the breakfast room, you can look out over the sea and nearby islands. For an extra dose of luxury, you can order food and drink to your room any time of day using our 24-hour room service.
Clarion Hotel Tyholmen offers six modern conference rooms, all equipped with projectors, stationery and free WiFi. Our staff will help you throughout the planning process and assist during your event if necessary to ensure that it is a total success.
Our largest conference facility is our banquet hall which holds up to 300 people. The hall has large windows looking out over the water and access to the terrace. If you need extra space, the restaurant and our Chambre Séparée can be opened up.
Sal A is a bright and modern room that can accommodate up to 160 people. Enjoy fabulous views of the water, as well as high ceilings, modern technology and good ventilation. Sal A is located in the newest part of the hotel that was built in 2007.
For slightly larger meetings, seminars or conferences, there are our two conference rooms each holding up to 50 people. Should you require extra equipment such as a stage or podium, our conference staff will be happy to assist.
We have 5 meeting rooms that are suitable for groups of 2-15 people. These rooms are located on the first or second floor. They have windows that allow in plenty of daylight, as well as a projektor with a screen.
We have three different packages offering you a wide range of options of food and beverages for your event. You can even combine different elements to create your own customised menu, and our staff will be happy to help with suggestions.
