Quality Hotel™ Waterfront, Ålesund

We stayed here for the weekend (2 nights) Ordered for a long time ago. Ordered a Double room. When we saw the room we notised that we had two 90cm bed, and not a Double bed. Also we had a bathtub, instead of a shower. We asked the straff if we could Get the room we ordered. There was no available rooms. There was nothing that they could do. I said it was okay, but asked for a bit of my money back maybe because our room was a downgrade. The reseptionist said it was the same price, but we got to glasses of wine for free. Breakfast was good. Room was Nice and clean. No cleaning during our stay. Short walk to city senter. The «Lounge24» was dissapointing. Expexting more after reading about it on the Hotels website.

Avreage hotel. Centrally located. Parking a pluss. But cost no less than parking elsewhere. Clean. Friendly staff. Rooms in old part- odd layout - and highly overpriced. Food - not worth the money. Dine out. Reserve a table😊

I may have disturbed the receptionist at lunch when I arrived. Because she came out in a hurry and dried herself around her mouth, made a very quick check in and disappeared again. And that was generally the level of the receptionists during my stay. Efficient and did their job, but perhaps lacked the extra smile and warmth I like when I check in at a new hotel. Had been upgraded to a higher class room due to my membership in the customer club. And I really appreciated that. Otherwise, there was not much recognition or information about the other benefits you have as a member. Maybe it's just me. But I have very little love for carpets on floors in hotel rooms. Fortunately, there are almost no hotels left with carpets in the room. Maybe because others feel the same way I do. I do not know how many people have vomited, peed or done other things on the carpet before I came to the room. So I prefer parquet for example. In the huge room I was given, there were carpets on the floor. The bed was lower and not as comfortable as at other Chouce hotels. The desk seemed a bit sticky. It was a TV bench that the TV was on with a jumble of cables behind that had not been washed. There was no easy way to find a connection for a computer. So I had to tear out a plug that was in. In general - the room seemed ready for some renovation. I have seen pictures of other rooms in this hotel that seemed very much better. What was good was the bathroom which seemed more renovated. And that there was coffee and tea available in the room. The ice cube machine in the hallway did not work. Breakfast was very good with smiling staff (that was where there were smiles to be traced in this hotel). And compared to Choice hotels, they were above middles on what one could choose from. It was good breakfast both days I was there. The location is good. the breakfast and staff are good. The room and the carpets on the floor are not quite me. And when I come to a new city and a new hotel, I prefer that those who work there have a much greater smile and a good morning available. I will try the hotel again next time I am in Ålesund. And bet that it fits even better then.

the Waterfront is the perfect location; near enough to walk everywhere, just enough on the edge to be quiet and comfortable. the food offerings were excellent, good wine list, ample selection at the breakfast buffet, and well-equipped conference facilities. but the best part was the personnel, from first arrival and throughout the stay, friendly, helpful, lovely to talk with. I hope to return!

Very good location, service, décor and equipment of the room and the menu and the quality of food are a fantastic addition. A shoehorn and tea in the room were a great addition for me. Very nice and friendly service.
