Nice place close to downtown

Stayed here with family for a night. It’s a pretty nice place overall - updated with a hip lobby and restaurant. They upsold us to a room with a view for an extra $20 (worth it). The gym on the 5th floor was more than adequate. Breakfast buffet was very good and great for people-watching. The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. Had dinner in the lobby restaurant - food was very good. Service was okay, and the menu was priced in a way that you definitely pay for the atmosphere. Overall a good spot. I’d come again if I get the chance.

Very old, tired, dirty motel that was extremely noisy. Find somewhere else !

Remember the old Motel 6’s from the 70’s ? This is one step below them. Dirty (dried poop on the outer toilet seat lid), dirty carpets, towels that can be seen through, and Very Very Noisy ! The outside bar was an extremely loud and happening places for lots of people and kids (and it was open to the public to hang out at also), it didn’t quiet down till after 2 am. The restaurant food was edible, but it took 2 1/2 hours for a steak and hamburger. Extremely disappointed.

we did not stay in a room in this hotel HOWEVER we stopped in as we were lost. The lobby was well appointed with plenty of room for conversation. Candles created a soft atmosphere. The staff took time to talk to us as stranger and went over our options to enjoy Alesund. The hotel was immaculate and they welcomed us to use their restroom while there. Their courtesy and kindness deserves a mention. Their location was great as it is on the edge of the Art deco part of Alesund and within 2 blocks of the cruiseship terminals.
