WeCare at Clarion Hotel Copenhagen Airport
At Clarion we have a passion for the people that surround us and the planet we share. Every day we work to make our world a greener and more compassionate place. We call it WeCare. Curious about how we put actions behind our words? Read on and get inspired.
Let's do plogging together
Plogging - or picking up litter while jogging - is a trend that's currently spreading throughout the world. It's the perfect combination of exercising and taking care of nature. And if you go plogging with us, you also get to take part in a social event that brings together hotel guests, employees and our local community. We go plogging every Wednesday morning and round of the event with a nice breakfast in our restaurant. Everyone's welcome!
Eat you way to a greener future
What we eat has an impact on our planet, and we try to make that impact as small as possible without compromising on the taste or texture. Our mouthwatering dishes does not contain uncertified palm oil, we focus on buying local and organic produce when we can, and we minimize food waste by using the entire food item and by saying yes to ugly fruits and veggies.
Small pieces of fish becomes delicious ceviche. Leftover tomatoes become tasty tomato soup. Ugly apples are turned into juice. And onion peels? They are made into a tangy relish for our irresistible burgers. In addition, you'll always find many green dishes and vegetarian options in our menu.
Sweet Dreams Stay - Give a child a safe night
We have joined forces with UNICEF on a project with the goal of helping vulnerable children. At the same time, this project gives all our hotel guests a great opportunity to engage and help in an easy way. The idea is simple, but powerful. Refrain from room cleaning for one night and we will donate money to UNICEF.
We also sell SWEET DREAMS bracelets that are made of recycled paper by vulnerable women in Cambodia. It gives them a way to provide for themselves and their families and that minimizes the risk that they have to compromise on their children's safety.
Since 2017, more than 4 million NOK has been collected across Nordic Choice. This amounts to 100.000 safe nights at UNICEF's protection centers for vulnerable children in Cambodia.
