Conference and meeting venues in Bodø

The hotel, with a long and dramatic past, was hit hard when the city was bombed during World War II. The mirror hanging in the dining hall was one of the few objects that survived. Among the hotel’s many well-known guests, the author Knut Hamsun is one of the most distinguished. He wrote his novel "Segelfoss by" in the hotel’s tower room.

Bodø could be called Norway’s aviation capital, with one of the Norwegian Air Force’s largest air bases, the head office for the Norwegian airline Widerøe and the national aviation museum, Norskt Luftfartsmuseum. One of Norway’s two police academies is located here as well.
