The Clarion Hotel Tyholmen is more than just a place to sleep! Enjoy modern conference facilities with sea views and our excellent Kitchen & Table restaurant, all with a beautiful picturesque location in central Arendal.

You'll find our hotel by the sea in the old part of the pretty town of Arendal. We are less than 60 km away from Kristiansand Airport and only a short walk from the main bus terminal, so it's a convenient location if you're flying in on business, but like the idea of being in the centre of town to enjoy its rich cultural life.

With 96 rooms ranging from our standard doubles to suites, we are big enough to accommodate large business events but small enough to feel personal. All guests have access to free WiFi throughout the hotel and there is parking here at the hotel. Guests at the Clarion Hotel Tyholmen can also use a nearby gym free of charge - ideal for some time to yourself or to work up a sweat in an exercise class!

To get your day off to the best possible start, guests can enjoy a great breakfast with both hot and cold food. And it has been voted Aust-Agder's breakfast buffet for several years. From the breakfast room, you can look out over the sea and nearby islands. Then in the evening, head to the Kitchen & Table restaurant from acclaimed top Swedish chef Marcus Samuelsson, where you can sample high-quality food in a "fun dining" atmosphere.

Our largest conference facility is our banquet hall which holds up to 300 people. The hall has large windows looking out over the water and access to the terrace. If you need extra space, the restaurant and our Chambre Séparée can be opened up.
