The hotel, more a guest house really is at the back of beyond in Reykjavik. The wifi connection is fabulous no fiddling, straight on.The girls on the desk do their utmost to be helpful but there is no lift and no help with luggage. They will supply breakfast but we were off on tours too early to have it and that was the rub.. the only place to get something to eat after 8 o'clock is a pizza bar 2 blocks down. There is a health-food cafe Gingers on the next block very good, but it really caters for the local office workers. So, you have a half hour walk to eat and if you have been walking round the Game of Thrones sites since 8 a,m, for 8 hours it is pizza again. Don't forget, all the hot water there comes straight from the hot springs so it stinks of sulpher.

100% typical 3* chain hotel, no good or bad surprise.

Go there only if you get a good price (under 80$/night), otherwise it won't meet a good quality/price ratio... A little bit out of the city-center (10min walk). Breakfast very tiny (room and variety). They are too many people eating breakfast at the same time on the morning, and the room is too tiny. You always have to jostle to get anything. Rooms are chain hotel room's, don't expect anything fancy. No free parking, you have to park on the street (free from 6pm to 8am) and then something like 2$/hour.

Stayed here a couple of nights while getting our kid settled at the university. We just needed a clean, comfortable room near the action and for a reasonable price. This hotel fit the bill perfectly. There were plenty of other students in transit staying here, clearly a poplular choice for those on a budget. They have cold beer in bottles, a few couches by the common TV and a breakfast area. Nothing fancy, but clean and friendly. Breakfast and internet were included in the low price we paid, and the booking didn't require pre-payment. But the little something extra was the pair of bikes that we could borrow to get around on. This is a college town with bike paths everywhere, so the added touch of available bikes to the guests is sheer genious.

The hotel is located near the railway station and the city centre. The single bed room was small but was clean and had everything i needed. The breakfast buffet was among the best ones i've had in scandinavian hotels within this price range. The room was quiet and the staff was friendly. It was wasy to find a parking spot in the streets nearby.
