Very bad service at the reception at 05.30am. Ive been a loyal customer to this hotel for at least 6 or 7 years. My company has a special deal with choice hotels until today. From now on our deal will be made with another hotel chain. I warn business ppl and also ppl generally. This hotel is not an option for service and kidness at all. This guy Simon is not a friendly or serviceminded person neither this girl (didnt got her name) at the reception. I tried to pay extra for a friend of mine to sleep at the hotel even If I have a silvercard almost gold. That didnt help. I accepted to pay extra but that didnt work either since they didnt have anything "availble" (My room is a superior rom and I live alone). Peter Stordalen, en stor skam. This hotel has a great location and facia. The reception is fun, cool and welcoming. It seems to attract a wide range of personas (our trip was July) and doesn't seem to cater as well for them as it could. There wasn't much seating etc. The Moderate Bedroom was very small, though nicely appointed, not to the cleanliness standards I would have expected from the impression the rest of the hotel gave (cool luxury). And the beds/pillows were very uncomfortable! Breakfast was vast and varied. Everything was ok, not exceptional, but a great location and good price for Sweden and a city centre.

I live in Stockholm but booked this hotel because we had American guests and wanted to do a hotel weekend. I was so embarred over how bad it was, especially for them used to American hotel standards but even for a Swedish hotel. I don't know where to start: ARRIVAL: There is no staff existing outside or in the reception area except 1-2 people handling check in. Be prepared to take care of your luggage yourself, if you are lucky you might find a cart. If you have a car nobody will help you with info on where to park the car, you just have to wait inline for checkin to get any answers at all. We arrived on a Saturday and the checkin line was out the street, 20-30 minutes waiting. CHECK-IN: Takes time. Late check in time at 3pm. We arrived 3 hours early with 3 small kids, and there was no way to get a room earlier they didn't even try. When it was finally 3pm the room wasn't ready yet, not only for us but for a lot of people, even more chaos at check-in with a lot of angry people. ROOMS: We had booked a family-deal which included a Superior. Cozyness equals zero. It is just a very empty room with a bed and a chair and a table. Not like Scandinavian minimalistic, just boring. No tub for the kids. The floor was scratched and was covered with black marks. The complimentary shampoo, lotion etc was used already. SERVICE: There will be no one answering the phone when you call to get something. You just have to take the elevator down 10 floors get in the check-in line and ask. 5 hours later you have to repeat because they forgot (extra bed we asked for). If you ever get through over the phone be clear with your room number because somethimes the wrong room number is showing on their displays. CLEANING: Will never happen before 4pm, at least that is what they said when I asked why the room wasn't clean at 3.30 when we had been away since 9am. Cleaning consists of making the bed, clothes will still lay where you left them and half drunken coffee cups will not be touched. BREAKAST: Good but very crowded, at 8am it is packed. Here they are really making an effort to try to arrange it well despite the large number of people. SPA: What spa? They have a pool which you will be charged 25 dollars to use. A locker room and a sauna. I'm not sure what you are actually paying for except the pool. The pool bar is not as nice as it looks on the pictures. Windy. They have treatments which are nice. They tried to charge me twice by mistake and mixed up my booking but fixed it in the end so they were ok. ANYTHING POSITIVE? One afternoon they had two people in the reception who could answer questions so one girl helped us with some recommendations of restaurants. That was nice, totally normal for any other hotel but since this was overall so bad it was really a nice surprise. In the beginning of our stay I got really annoyed at the staff, but in the end we just laughed about it and I felt honestly sorry for the people working there, not much seems to work there.
