I'm afraid we don't have porter service at our hotel at all times, unless it has been pree arranged/ordered or if a guest asks for it upon arrival.
As I understand from your review, you probably asked for help, if so we should of course always assist as soon as possible.

Yes, it is correct we do not have safety boxes in all of our room types.
For guests who would like to use a safety box but don't have one in the room, we offer safety boxes free of charge in the luggage room near the front desk.

I hope the meeting you had with our General manager & Hotel manager made you feel listened to, and that you felt they did their utmost to do the best we could due to this traumatic experience.
I believe there must have been a misunderstanding regarding this happening frequently in the lobby (maybe due to the language barrier).
It has happened before, as it unfortunately sometimes do in all hotels, streets, airports, stores and so on. Thankfully, we are spared from this being a frequent thing happening at our hotel though.
Our guests should of course never feel unsafe to have a cup of coffee in the lobby or have the impression of it being hazardous.
We do indeed always have a security guard on duty at the hotel in the evenings, as many hotels in the city do. This is not due to the city being unsafe, Stockholm is one of the most safe capitals in the world.

This was indeed an extremely unfortunate event and we all wish we could have prevented it somehow. I can not even imagine the shock your grandfather in law must have experienced.
