The location couldn't be better, everything very close, also main railway station with good connection to the Gardermoen Airport. Room in 4th floor was ok, window to a construction site but hardly any noice despite of it. Air conditioning not very good as if you wanted it work better it was noisy. Bed ok. Toilet+shower oldfashioned and little bit worn out but acceptable. Personnel at reception nice and freindly. breakfast can ve recommended, choice of dishes very large, warm dishes as well enough different bread etc.

Pretty average hotel at a central location

I stayed four nights at the Royal Christiania and it was pretty average. The room was pretty small as a stayed in a "single room": A twin bed, a small desk, and no drawer space. But it was functional and I slept fine. It looked like it was a few years since it had been renovated though. There is a fairly big selection at the breakfast buffet, but nothing that knocks your socks off. The location is right next to the main train station which is very convenient, especially if you are coming in with the airport train which arrives there. My room, on the 9th floor, faced the street but there was very little street noise. Overall there was nothing to complain about, but also nothing to be wowed about either.

Having stayed at this hotel before I was looking forward to the superb breakfast on the stunning atrium. I was not disappointed on this front. However, my single room on an upper floor was poor: very small; very cramped; very dark; with nowhere to put any clothes apart from four pegs on the wall; with no facilities (or space!) for making tea or coffee. This once luxury hotel seems to me to have gone downhill a long way since my previous visit. Despite the excellent breakfast I shall not be returning.
