Just finishing up a few days here. The hotel is very comfortable. I got a superior room on the 5th floor looking out to the Radisson Blu across the square, and toward the harbour. The bathroom is nice too with a tub, but the shower is over the tub and is a big step to get in, not so good for older people or those unsteady. The 5th floor is good because it does not have any other buildings looking into the rooms, unlike the cheaper standard rooms which all face inwards and have little privacy, and they have no sheer privacy curtain either. The breakfast, waffles (get there at 1500 to avoid a queue for the one waffle maker), and dinner is good. For 3 dinners, I saw lasagne, salmon and a chicken dish in a tasty sauce. All come with a good salad bar and there are other choices too. The dessert is a bit strange - only red jelly for 2 nights and a sort of blancmange another night. Sort of reminded me of a bad kids party. But, there was always a selection of good cheeses for the more mature palette. There's a cappuccino machine behind the front desk and they will make one for you. The decor is attractive, the bed very comfortable, and the windows can open. But, you should be aware that aircon is not standard and even big hotels will probably not have any. The staff are all very friendly and smiling. I make special mention of June on the front desk who went right out of her way to be helpful to me and I really appreciated it. I said I would give her a raise if I were the manager. One over looked item is a way of charging devices near the bed. The closest electrical outlet seemed to be in the bathroom, and even then it turned off when the light was turned off. At least, that was the case in my room. It is a nice hotel and I would be happy to stay here again. If you have a choice, try to visit when there are no cruise ships in port, if there are any days like that. Great clumps of people with guides speaking many different languages are all over the place. I overheard a person wearing a Cunard lanyard in a group completely blocking the footpath and pedestrian crossing saying that it was unreasonable that 2 people struggling to cross the road with suitcases should want to walk down the footpath. It is made more complex by there being a lot of cobblestones. Not all of the groups are so inconsiderate luckily.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights, the location of this hotel is amazing, it's in the center of everything and there is a large supermarket right behind it, the rooms are quite nice, they also offer a very nice breakfast buffet and in the afternoon they serve coffee and waffle, in the evening they offer a very nice dinner buffet. We really enjoyed the stay. What really also made us happy is the kind staff, especially the lady who works in the reception, her name is June, she was very helpful and nice. We fully recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in Bergen.

The hotell is located centrally at the historic Bryggen area in Bergen, and has an airport coach stop right outside. We only stayed for one night, but were upgraded to a deluxe room. The size of the room was nice, but the bathroom maybe was a bit small. The hotel has make-it-yourself waffles and coffee in the afternoon from 3pm to 6pm, and from 6pm to 9pm they have a light evening meal that is included. The staff at the hotel was also very friendly. The hotel also has a tower above the 6th floor with excellent views of the "Bryggen" area. Ask in the lobby how to access it.

The staff are friendly and helpful. They are informative and willing to help. The reception is welcoming and good for relaxing. The hotel is central. The food is good and the evening meal is not just a snack we ate twice and it was just right. The room we had was 321 and s big room but ridiculously small bathroom. The towels are too small and poor quality. They service staff kept taking away some of them so we had to share. The fridge smelt and did not work even though we asked about it being looked at. The air con in the room seems to be an enigma. The view from the room was of office rooms but we weren't there much to worry. Overall the good outweighed the bad and we travel a lot so ce las vie.

Wow what a lovely hotel right on the harbor in Bergen..The staff went above and beyond to help in any way and were so pleasant to talk to. Our corner deluxe room looked at the harbor and the windows were sealed so well we could not hear a thing with them closed...Great bed, linens and furnishings. Nice size room and it included breakfast and a "light" supper. The dinner was one of the nicest we had, slow cooked pork, a big salad and bread buffet, soup and lots of side dishes..Very well prepared, very fresh and tasty..We were only staying one night before embarking on a ship, and did not feel the need to go out on the town...so it was perfect. Lovely lobby bar too.
