This hotel is really convenient for the station, but not on top of it - about a 5-10 minute walk. It is located inside an arcade where you will find the theatre and some cafes. The hotel really has Norwegian hospitality licked. They really looked after guests with their coffee in the lobby, afternoon fika, and if you want, there is simple food available in the evening as part of the deal. The breakfast is very good, but there is no fresh egg cooking going on. Other than that there is pretty much everything you would want for a breakfast with excellent smoked salmon and graved lax We were allocated a standard double room (319) and it was small but probably normal by Scandinavian standards. It was very warm, and you could not adjust the air conditioning much in April. The shower was sort of wet room system, and as there was no door, it soaked the floor of the bathroom if you had the shower at height and had anything other than a very quick soak. Towels are small. Only cosmetic was liquid soap. Rooms are only cleaned on request, but that is only a problem if you stay more than one night. If you are staying more than one night, the lack of room may be an issue as there is nowhere to unpack - no shelves, cupboards or safe. There is a small amount of hanging space but only enough for a couple of days. It would work better as a short stay business hotel. There is a tram/bus stop outside the hotel and the very useful number 12 tram goes right by. It was simple to get to most of the major Oslo tourist locations. Don't think about driving, as there is no apparent place to leave a car. There are plenty of eating places in walking distance, but the better ones get full quickly and it seemed to be normal for a decent place to be full at 7pm any night of the week. Don't forget that eating out in Oslo can be very expensive, and even a low end proper restaurant will set you back £60-70 per person for a modest meal. There is decent wifi, a small desk area if you need it, and a small television, mostly showing local channels. I found the bed a bit too soft and the pillow a bit uncomfortable, but that is a personal thing, and my wife had no problems. The hotel staff were very helpful, and most of them spoke good English. We had to miss Saturday morning breakfast to catch a flight, and the hotel gave us a brown bag breakfast for our journey, which was just as well, as food in the airport is very expensive.

This hotel is a great choice if you're looking to stay in central Oslo. Breakfast, fika and an evening meal are all included in the price, making it very good value for money. The breakfast buffet is excellent with a range of different options to choose from. The evening meal was also very good, though the lounge area is quite small and can become crowded. I had a room facing the inner courtyard, which was nice and quiet despite the city centre location. I really enjoyed my stay and would visit again.

Fabulous art deco hotel. We were too late for the afternoon coffee and cake but had a great dinner and breakfast all included in the price. Amazing value. I have another Oslo hotel booked for later in the month but think I will cancel and rebook this hotel.

This hotel has a fantastic location if you would like to experience Oslo City Centre. Also very close to metro and tram, if you would like to explore the sorroundings. This was my first stay at this hotel, and it surprised me positively. The entrance is in an indoor passage together with a theatre/musical scene, a bakery and several restaurants. Being downtown Oslo it's impossible to avoid som sirenes during night time that might wake you up, but it wasn't a big problem for us. The lobby is nice and the hotel provide free coffee and tea. In audition the hotel serves afternook cake and an evening meal included in price. The evening meal served as a nice dinner, and can be highly recommended. The breakfast was among the better I have had at a hotel. We were upgraded to a superior room. Very nice with both a small writing desk and two chairs with a table. The hotel as gym with all equipmentet needed. When we were there the room smelled very strange, but after 10 minutes on the threadmill this was any intersected by the smell of sweat. The only other thing, in addition to the smell in gym, to complain about was the pillows. We had three each, but they were either to small or to big - based on our preferences.

Good hotel with an excellent breakfast. The afternoon fika and included dinner are a plus. Had a mixup with the rooms and the hotel graciously agreed to reimburse the difference. Near to the station and malls. Tip: Warm up at the beverage station in the lobby. Staff was friendly and helpful. Helena and Dag at the front desk were stellar; accommodating, knowledgeable and quick to assist with everything.
