Clarion Collection® Hotel Bastion

I thought this hotel was great for the price. 8 minutes walk from the station / opera house etc. I booked a double room which was quite small but was nice - bathroom had power shower and under floor heating. Great choice of breakfast items, free tea and coffee all day plus cake in the afternoon. I booked this hotel solely based on there being an evening meal as I was travelling on my own and trying to keep costs down. If you are fussy it’s maybe not for you as there is only 1 choice of dinner but i thought the evening meals were fantastic. There is soup and bread, selection of salads e.g. Greek, bulger wheat then the main. While I stayed that was chilli, pork and mashed potatoes ( I don’t really like pork but I have to say it was really nice) and veggie lasagne. Based on the fact 2 beers and some olive was £25 in a bar I was really glad I only had to eat lunch out. Definitely get the city pass that gets you free travel and entry to museums it is well with the money.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room and facilities were great, and the breakfast buffet and evening meal buffet were excellent! The staff were friendly and helpful, and the fika was lovely to come back to after being out all day. Great location for exploring Oslo, and surrounding area as a few minutes walk from Oslo Central Station.

This charming hotel totally captivated us with lovely ambience, exceptionally welcoming professional staff, comfortable room, wonderful breakfast and dinner buffets. Centrally located near the city opera house an short distances from many inner city sights. In our humble opinion, a great buy for you lodging dollars, or Norwegian Krone.

Comfortable pillows. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast and dinner included as well as afternoon cake and coffee. Dinner choices might be too limited for some but I have no complaints. A staff member named May at the breakfast buffet was quite friendly and attentive to the guests’ needs. The other girls attending the buffets (breakfast and dinner) were great as well. We enjoyed our 2 nights stay.

Very nice stay in Oslo. Friendly and helpful staff (we checked-in after 22 and on our request they kept an evening meal for us!). Breakfast is very tasty with big choice. What is nice is that it's served early in the morning (from 6:30/7:30). The double bed room was cosy but clean and warm. The bathroom had a small shower. There was basically no view but it wasn't our priority. An evening meal was always composed of soup + main dish. Fika was a nice snack time. There is also a sauna and gym available (7-23). The location of the hotel is very good, close to the main station and Operahouse, nearby buses and trains. Overall, it was a relaxing stay with good meals and professional service. Highly recommended!
