SICKLA KÖPKVARTER

More and more people choose to jump on one of the many SL buses that in six minutes will take you from town to Sickla. At the mall, Sickla Köpkvarter, there are great opportunities for shopping, culture and wonderful food from all parts of the world. After shopping, you can take a tasteful snack or a steaming cup of coffee at one of the many restaurants and cafés at the shopping center. We have listed our favorites: Urban Deli, Texas Burger, Bistro & Café Voltaire, Daiichi Sushi and Naked Cake. At the end of the day you can choose to relax and go to the cinemas in Dieselverkstaden, where there are a selection of movies for everyone. Or you could reach new heights next door at Klätterverket, one of Stockholm’s popular indoor climbing arenas.

SICKLA LAKE

Close to Sickla Köpkvarter you’ll find Sickla lake with both pier and a beach. Locals and tourists like to go there and get a tan, go for a swim or jump into a kayak. With Sickla Köpkvarter just around the corner you do not have to worry if you forgot to buy charcoal for the grill, strawberries for dessert or a colorful bathing mattress to float in. If you want to experience the nearby lakes you can rent a kayak from Kajak Sjöstaden located at Sickla lake.

THE NACKA RESERVE

A popular excursion area is the Nacka nature reserve stretching from Sickla lake and Järla lake in the north to Älta lake in the south. If you are the type that likes being outdoors this is the right place to go. Approximately 1,5 million visitors come here each year to hike, orient, ski, canoe, skate and pick mushrooms.
