We are the best hotel chain in the Nordic Region and in Norway!
Nordic Choice Hotels is the best hotel chain in both the Nordic Region and Norway! Our hotels took the prize in the Norwegian Grand Travel Award 2018.

8 years in a row as the best hotel chain in Norway
The very prestigious Norwegian version of the Grand Travel Award 2018, in which travel agencies vote for their favourites, is organized by Travel News in January each year. And 2018 turned out to be another great year for us at Nordic Choice Hotels: this year’s best Norwegian hotel chain and the best hotel chain in the Nordic region! It’s not the first time that Nordic Choice Hotels has taken the prize for the best hotel chain in Norway (it has actually happened 8 times in a row!). It is also the second time we got to take home the prize for the best chain in the Nordic Region.
A poetic Petter A. Stordalen shared the good news on Instagram:
Grand Travel Award 2018. Ikke nok med at vi er kåret til beste hotellkjede i Norge 8 år på rad, men vi tar like gjerne med oss pokalen for beste kjede i Norden også. Jeg er ufattelig stolt av alle ansatte i Nordic Choice Hotels.

“What a fantastic start to the new year! Not just that we were chosen as Norway’s best hotel chain for the eighth consecutive year, but today we also got to take home the prize for the best chain in the Nordic region. It’s awesome, and I take off my hat to all our employees and all the hard work and sterling effort they put in every day,” says Petter A. Stordalen.
Nordic Choice Hotels grew in 2017, adding another 9 new hotels in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. This expansion will continue in 2018 with such exciting developments as the re-opening of Funken Lodge in Svalbard, more hotels in Sweden and a hotel in Porsgrunn – the city where Petter A. Stordalen grew up.
”It is wonderful proof that we are still able to offer our guests the same great experience even while growing steadily. The coming years will see many new openings and a lot of expansion. But the goal is the same as always – to deliver the best guest experience,” says administrative director at Nordic Choice Hotels, Torgeir Silseth.
The Swedish Grand Travel Award will be held on 12th February at our hotel At Six in Stockholm, and Nordic Choice Hotels have been nominated in several categories there, too.
