The national Cancer Societies works to reduce the incidence of cancer and achieve higher survival rates. Since the 1970’s, cancer rates have more than doubled, but thanks to cancer research and innovations in cancer treatments, 2 out of 3 cancer patients survive.

The national Cancer Societies’ work and donations

The national Cancer Societies is an independent non-profit organisation without any government funding. Their work depends solely on donations from individuals and businesses. Since 1951, the organisation has donated approximately SEK 11 billion to leading research projects in Sweden.
